Sales Executive — Inside Sales (Office-Based)

Mahabir Stores, operating under the JIVN brand, is a Kolkata-based wholesale trading house supplying whole spices, dry fruits, seeds, pooja samagri, HORECA staples and FMCG goods to retailers, distributors and institutional buyers across India. We combine legacy sourcing networks with a modern digital catalogue and IndiaMART-led lead generation.

We are hiring sales professionals to manage inbound enquiries, follow up with buyers and close orders — entirely from our office. This is a desk role: no travel, no field visits. You will spend your day on the phone, WhatsApp, email and social media, converting leads into repeat customers.

• Respond promptly to enquiries received via IndiaMART, Facebook, WhatsApp, email and incoming calls

• Share product catalogues, quotations and samples with prospective buyers

• Follow up systematically with leads until orders are confirmed

• Coordinate with the dispatch and accounts teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment

• Maintain accurate records of customers, enquiries, quotations and orders

• Build long-term relationships with retailers, wholesalers and HORECA clients

• Post product updates, offers and engagement content on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp Business

• Handle basic billing, invoicing and stock entries (training provided)

• Computer savvy — comfortable with Windows, MS Excel, email and typing in English

• Digital fluency — confident using WhatsApp Business, Facebook Pages, Instagram and basic social media tools

• Communication — clear, polite and persuasive in Hindi, Bengali and basic English

• Age between 20 and 35 years

• Willing to work full-time from our Posta Bazaar office

• Self-motivated, organised and detail-oriented

• Working knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime for billing and accounts entries

• Prior experience in B2B sales, wholesale trade, FMCG, spices or commodity markets

• Familiarity with IndiaMART Lead Manager, TradeIndia or other B2B portals

• Basic graphic design skills (Canva) for catalogue and social media creatives

• Exposure to GST invoicing and e-way bill generation

• Stable office-based role with a 47-year-old established business

• Salary commensurate with experience, plus performance incentives on closed orders

Accountant

Experience: 1–6 years preferred · sharp freshers considered
Age Preference: 25–45 years

Own the day-to-day accounting and tax compliance of the business, while gradually growing into a finance partner role — analysing sales figures, building forecasts and helping management make sharper decisions.

• Maintain books of accounts in Tally — sales, purchase, receipts, payments, journal entries

• Handle GST workings, returns, input credit reconciliation and e-way bills

• Manage TDS / Income Tax workings, challans and quarterly filings

• Reconcile bank accounts, debtors, creditors and stock ledgers

• Prepare invoices, debit/credit notes and statements of account

• Analyse sales figures by product, customer and category to spot trends and gaps

• Learn and contribute to monthly forecasting of sales, cash flow and inventory

• Coordinate with our CA for audits, ROC filings and statutory compliance

• Working knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime — voucher entry, ledger management, reports

• Good understanding of Direct and Indirect Tax — GST, TDS, Income Tax basics

• Sharp analytical eye for numbers — accuracy, attention to detail, ability to spot mismatches quickly

• Strong MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)

• Willingness to learn forecasting and management reporting

• B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / CMA-Inter or equivalent

• Age between 20 and 35 years

• Experience in a wholesale, trading or FMCG environment

• Exposure to inventory accounting and stock valuation

• Familiarity with Zoho Books, Busy or other accounting software

• Basic understanding of MIS reporting and dashboards

• Stable office-based role with an established 47-year-old business
